Catalina Island Murders: An Artist's Tale

On a beautiful October morning, thirteen passengers boarded the Catalina Express. The voyagers were headed for the shores of Avalon Bay expecting to participate in the prestigious Catalina Art Festival. The mood was lively and upbeat, the passengers thinking their journey would carry them to the pleasures of Catalina Island. None of them were aware of the rendezvous with death awaiting them. All thirteen would become either, suspects or victims in the Catalina Island murders of 1999. A talented young artist, Annabel Adams, had been accepted into the annual Catalina Plein Aire Art Festival on the Island. At the age of twenty-four, she was the youngest participant in the event. For years, Annabel had dreamed of becoming one of forty revered artists from California who had been juried into the prestigious festival.
